Car Repossed With Four-Year-Old Child Inside
Car Repossed With Four-Year-Old Child Inside

CLEVELAND, OH -- A Cleveland mother is outraged tonight. She says a repo company took away a car with her four-year-old son inside.

She tried to run after the car, but ended up hurt. "All this, there was like a hole in the middle. All my toe nail is gone," she said.

Salimah Tutstone is all banged up, injuries she got trying to save her son from a reckless repo person.

"She ran my foot over. I got up and still tried to open up the back door. I got the back door open. I just kept it open so I could try and pull him out and she just pulled on out the driveway and drug me up the whole street," Tutstone said.

What kind of fool would just speed away with a toddler in the backseat and its mother screaming? "For one thing, no one knew that a child was sleeping in that car. Well the mother said she was screaming... telling the lady... stop, stop. No. She was screaming my man is about to shoot you, my man is about to shoot you."

Both women were in panic mode: one fearing for her child and the other fearing for her life. The four-year-old was found abandoned in the car in a parking lot nearby. The child was okay.

Nightmare: Repo Company Tows Car With 4-Year-Old Boy Sleeping in The Backseat!

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A car repo company is under fire after taking a car away with a 4-year-old boy sleeping in the backseat.

The repo company drove off with the child's mother, Salimah Tutstone, holding her 1-year-old while clinging to the car screaming that her other child was still inside.

Tutstone tells 19 Action News "she backed up so quick...drug my body, me and the baby about 30 houses."

Ashley Tutstone, Salimah's sister, says she called the car company and told them the car payment was on the way. The car was towed anyways.

The repo driver later abandoned the car with the child still inside about five miles away. "He ended up on 93rd and Hough in the car by himself" said Salimah Tutstone.

1. I wonder what the resale value is on one of those
a relatively healthy 4 year old is probably worth a good deal.

And exactly what are the procedures for repossing a vehicle?

(Not ribbing you L-i-L, it's in the link. I looked.)

6. That was my thought. They might have an argument up until that point. Did you also notice...
The woman was dragged while holding her other child, a one year old? And she wasn't even the owner--it was her sister's car.

So this repo person drove over someone's foot, dragged the person down the road while they were clutching a one year old, and when they discovered the child in the back seat abandoned the car with the child? I hope it doesn't go well for the repo person. They are lucky it wasn't a double homocide. Triple, even.

14. Freedom of Speech
They may be without a soul, but that repo company is entitled to free speech, according to the Republic party. Don't try to censor them by offering any kind of opinion against them/

18. It doesn't matter what the weather
it's illegal...in 1991 I lost my job for awhile was making payments on a car and then I couldn't..we knew it was going to repo'd...so when ever we used (and only used to get groceries) we wouldleave our 14 year old in the car...we were tailed many times, but straight in the garage that baby went..which it is also illegal in WA to enter some ones closed garage to get a car..we kept it for9 months that way until we finally had enough from new jobs to pay the damn thing off...boy were the repo fuckers pissed!!! I laighed my ass off!!!!

13. Can someone decipher this?...
"All this, there was like a hole in the middle. All my toe nail is gone".

Reading between the lines... I'm guessing it's at least an additional $50k - $100k for "pain and suffering" in the forth coming lawsuit.

15. I wonder too. A hole in her shoe probably.
She was dragged for a ways, so probably first her shoe and then her toenail got scraped off on the pavement.
