Another Bigot With Imaginary Gay Friends

In response to the proposed Harvey Milk Day, Orange County Board of Education President, Alexandria Coronado, told the Daily Pilot Wednesday, If you want that lifestyle, don’t make my tax dollars pay for it, and don’t make me teach it to my children. Ms. Coronado went on to say that she has gay friends who have contributed a lot to society, but she doesn’t believe that government should promote their way of life.

Suffice it to say, if Ms. Coronado did really have any gay friends it is likely that they are no longer her gay friends. The Orange County Board of Education voted unanimously last week to oppose a state bill that would declare May 22 as Harvey Milk Day and honor the assassinated gay-rights activist and San Francisco councilman annually on his birthday.

I always wonder what one of these nitwits would do if they have a gay child. Actually, that is too terrifying to ponder.

3. I have a gay friend....

....who IS the child of one of those nitwits. His father was one of the behind-the-scenes architects of the "Moral Majority". My friend has one sibling, ALSO gay.

In my friends' case, the parents got over it. To the point where, while recently in the ER, the father introduced my friend's partner as his son to the nurses.

So there IS hope.
