Those familiar with the area who posted last night seem to favor the idea of this as a drug killing or at least anti-govt. sentiment that goes way back, rather than recently ginned up sentiment.

8. Let's Be Aware, Not Skittish...

Let's see what evidence comes forward. I would think that if this was a federal employee the FBI is now involved and let's hear what the authorities say before any pointing fingers. Remember, Manson had the word "Pig" painted to attempt to frame the Black Panthers for the Tate murders to create a distraction. If the cretin who did this ugly act is so brazen as to leave a "message", let's see if there are more verbage...sometime taking credit.

There's no doubt the rushpublicans and their hate media are exploiting tensions for their own power and profit, and I fear it will lead to violence, thus one must be vigilant but not jump at every story of this sort as having some political motive. Sadly there are a lot of sick and crazy people other than rushpublicans in the world.

15. I was born and raised in a neighboring county...

and worked over much of Manchester and Clay County. I do not think it was an "anti-government" crime per se, although many of the folks may have ill-feelings toward the Feds that are working in the area to burn the marijuana fields. Wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong people would be my guess. I doubt that they even know who Bachman, Beck, and Savage are? They would be familiar with Rush and Hannity. They wrote "FED" on his chest for a reason, I suppose?
