Apparently, Michael Moore and Martha Stewart are friendly! Bizarre reason why (prison) |
|
Here in NYC, after DemocracyNow, Amy Goodman often continues to broadcast a local show with the guests from DN.
She is continuing on with Michael Moore, who was just explaining that he and Martha Stewart have a friend in common.
When Stewart was in prison, her cell-mate was Michael Moore's former teacher (?) a nun, who was serving 3 years for an anti-war demonstration. The nun told Moore that Martha was a very nice person, as an individual.

I know she is from a poor background, so it's interesting that unlike some selfmade types, she remembers what it was like.

10. She also stuck with KMart when things were tanking for them when she didn't have to. |
|
Evidently, she had loyalty to their middle income and working class customers.

3. They put a nun in prison for 3 years for protesting the war? |
|
I hope it wasn't just for picketing or some other peaceful form of protest.

I didn't quite get the story. I assume she was engaged in civil disobedience on some military hardware.

They are not deranged anti-union, anti-progressive, anti-Green, anti-Labour, anti-Democratic Party Trotskyite cultists, who are the only group that I happily "trash."
