WTF? Unions Against Choice On Healthcare?
Just being discussed on MSNBC... they are covering that Unions are against choice because it would give non-union members the same health coverage that they are able to bargain for the Union members. I don't believe this, but would like to see what others are hearing on this. It sounds like a b.s. rw talking point that is starting to develop.

1. Complete and total bullshit.
Unions have wanted universal health for all for years.... They know it helps to make American companies , both union and non union, more competitive with foreign companies.

is against it? I don't remember hearing any name mentioned at all.

Doesn't make much sense.

On 2nd thought, perhaps they're referring to the health insurance employees. You know the ones who were being told to protest healthcare reform from the insurance companies?

3. That makes no sense
It might be, however, that the unions are afraid they will eventually be pushed into a government option they don't want. If they believe the coverage they have bargained for now is superior to what the government might offer in the future, I can see them opposing a government option. If a cheaper (but lower quality) health care option were available to an employer, the expensive, quality coverage would be off the bargaining table in the blink of an eye.
