'I'm a simple guy' - 'I'll tell you what' |
|
these seem to be words used a lot on Wash. Journal by callers. and I've noticed them on Sanchez's afternoon show. plus other places where the so called grass roots people talk on camera, twitter, etc.
what man tells the world he is a 'simple' man? in my mind he is a paid propagandist or brainwashed.
these 'guys' then start talking/writing like a more then simple man. how interesting.
then there are the callers that start out with 'I'll tell you what'. you know they are going to say something ignorant. something Fox or the neo con talking heads have beat into their brains.
anybody else notice?

1. A claim of being "simple"... |
|
...is usually meant to excuse one's incuriosity or ignorance. The speaker isn't thinking deeply, it says, and neither should the listner.
