“A U.S. Census worker found hanged from a tree near a Kentucky cemetery had the word “fed” scrawled on his chest, a law enforcement official said Wednesday, and the FBI is investigating whether he was a victim of anti-government sentiment.”
The body was found in rural Clay County. The story speaks for its self, but here are some facts about Clay County from Wikipedia:
• The county’s per-capita income makes it one of the poorest counties in the United States.
• The county is the poorest that is majority non-Hispanic white.
• The racial makeup of the county was 93.92% White.
• The county has been solidly Republican for decades. .
• The county is a prohibition or dry county.
In wondering about this crime and the conservative climate of the crime, I am reminded of the recent remarks of Rep. Pete Sessions (R-TX) on Republic Party strategy:
“Insurgency, we understand perhaps a little bit more because of the Taliban…And that is that they went about systematically understanding how to disrupt and change a person’s entire processes. And these Taliban — I’m not trying to say the Republican Party is the Taliban. No, that’s not what we’re saying. I’m saying an example of how you go about
is to change a person from their messaging to their operations to their frontline message…I simply said one can see that there’s a model out there for insurgency,”
