Edited on Thu Sep-24-09 02:47 PM by gauguin57
Just curious ... I noticed problems with Microsoft Explorer, and then read that G-mail was down again today. Anyone else having problems?

7. CNN reported the G-mail system was down earlier today.
Google posted a note Thursday morning saying it is aware that some people are experiencing an e-mail outage. The Mountain View, California, company said all e-mail service was working by 11 a.m. ET, and that the problems caused e-mail to slow down but did not crash the site.

"A problem with Google Contacts caused many Gmail users to experience slowness and degraded service for about an hour today," the company said in a statement. "We're sorry for the inconvenience. As usual, we'll provide an incident report on the Apps Status Dashboard, where we also gave ongoing status updates as this issue progressed."

9. I had some trouble with F-book earlier, too. Everything seems really slow ...
... and Explorer has "stopped working" several times today.

Yes, I know. When I figure out what's gone wrong ... I'll download Firefox!!!

12. Thanks, everyone, for checking in. I think mine was a basic connection problem.
I don't rely on G-mail, so I didn't even notice THAT problem earlier in the day.

All is right with the world (and my computer) as of now.

13. no problems that I have noticed
just 2 mins ago I sent gmail. I've checked it several times today and it's been fine. Maybe I'd hit them just at the right time?

14. Yep, it seems IE is still broken, not Gmail. You'd think the world's largest software company,
especially after almost 20 years, could write a browser that works. I mean it's not as complicated as an OS or something... er... wait a minute...
