Sitdown Strikers invited to "Capitalism: A Love Story" screening |
|
Michael will be hosting a screening at the Whiting Auditorium, in Flint, this Sunday. The best part is, the special invited guests are the handful of surviving members of the 1936-37 Sit Down Strike that took place in Flint. The film contains some archival film footage of the strike that led to the formation of the United Auto Workers.
It’s a free screening, but I just found out about it, and it sounds like the tickets (first come-first serve) are already gone!! As a proud member of the UAW, if I could think of any strings, I’d sure be pulling them.

I'm thrilled there was such a positive response for tickets. Some people, in Flint, are still mad at Michael for "Roger and Me". Personally, I loved that film.
