3. The only reason the catholic church endorsed marriage at all is to make more

catholic kids....to them, it's ALL ABOUT more membership/power/wealth. I went to catholic schools K-12, not by my choice, and I understand the thinking.

The real catholic church is about property aquisition, administration of its wealth, and political power, period.

The rest is salesmanship.

Of course Maine is not going to force the church to marry gay couples, but that doesn't stop the crazies from acting like that's how it is.
