1. as was the case in Seattle, there are indeed self-identified "anarchists" in the protest |

MSNBC actually said nothing wrong. They do emphasize that most protesters are peaceful, and do not belong to the anarchist groups.
I did unrecommend the post because it's both misleading and inaccurate. It is unfair to blame the media for the lack of our own awareness of the facts. God knows there are many legitimate reasons to do so.

nothing unfair about reporting the facts
the protesters crossing the bridge where the reporter was reporting and the cameras were focused were not the marching anarchists

2. I dunno...I guess that's a primary reason |

I avoid MSM at all costs. Just as I avoid television and newspapers in general. Although, truth to tell, I DO enjoy doing the New York Times crossword puzzle (Sunday).
But thanks for your report. I'm not surprised, however. Have you seen any video yet of the trashing of the posse comitatus?

4. Opposing global ciorporate consolidation and exploitation makes you an anarchist, yanno |
|
After all, these are the entities that control government, so if you're anti-corporatist, you're also anti-government.
And obviously need to have the shit beaten out of you for it.
I tell ya man, the "anarchists" these days are total wimps compared to the anarchists at the turn of the century.

5. The RW have their own dictionary, apparently... |
|
When the Dixie Chicks said something negative about a sitting US president while on foreign soil, it was called treason. When Sara Palin said something negative about a sitting US president while on foreign soil, it was called patriotism.
I'm quite sure that TeaBaggers, Birthers, and the Town Hall Screamers are patriots, according to that book, whereas any LW protester remains an anarchist, fascist, socialist, etc.

8. A very good friend of mine is involved with the local anarchist movement here in town |
|
They did comprise a fair number of the protesters here this week, although not all of them.
So the reporter isn't completely inaccurate.
