Obama sold out the working class and poor today.

I don't think I can vote for or support this guy any more.

A few days ago I wrote a thread suggesting that a progressive was emerging in our President.

I wish I would've washed my feet first, because they don't taste very good right now.

4. His press conference just wrapped up.
I'll be checking youtube for a clip soon.

He bashed the protestors and defended free market capitalism.

14. That Obama would've learned by now of the epic failure known as capitalism.
And that it's time to change course, away from that failed system.

17. Yeah, he should have told the entire world we were no longer a capitalist society.
He should have said we were going to change into an agrarian collective, run by concensus.

Capitalism is a terrible economic system. It is just better than all others, for the vast majority of people.

6. Well, your option is to vote Republican in 2012.
Yep, you can bet they'll support unions.

12. Nope I'm in the Windy City. I just watched his press conference on MSNBC.
He bashed the protest, sold out the working class, and defended free market capitalism.

That's all I needed to hear.

One speech and you're out the door. Try to look at the whole picture, if you will. I guarantee you that he is not selling out the poor, and one speech shouldn't sway you unless you are already perched to vote for someone who doesn't have a chance in hell of winning in 2012. This right here is one reason why it sucks so profusely to be a Democrat/liberal. We don't have a chance in hell of holding power long enough to fix all the shit the Republicans have wrought, along with people who consider themselves too pure to vote for someone who does not do their bidding 100% of the time. Fuck, I'll take 30% of the time, because you know a Republican is going to put us in the negative every time.

18. It's been building up for awhile now..
Afghan war, too big to fail, Gietner, Bernanke, wiretaps and the Patriot Act, renditions, backpedaling on Gitmo, Colombia, bowing to "Free" Trade, and now the G20.

It's been one slap in the face after another and I'm done with him and this fucking corporate owned 1 party system.

I will no longer sell my political soul just to vote blindly for a dem. Never again.
