Also, Jerry Springer already fabricated a similar story. Mole people (urban legend) From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mole_people_%28urban_legend%29

It has advantages over the arroyo at Tropicana and Decatur, or the freeway embankment in North Las Vegas, or the park on Maryland Parkway just south of Charleston, or.....shall I go on with all the other places that the homeless turn up in Las Vegas?
There is a reason that Las Vegas vies for the top spot in the Meanest City competition. If you can't afford to be a big spender, you might as well live with the roaches and the rats, as far as the city is concerned.

10. So everything they write is about Batboy? |
|
If they want to shock their audience, sometimes all that suffices is to tell the truth about America.

Las Vegas IS a magnet for people with addictions, and there are homeless popping up everywhere, they just try not to be visible (out of necessity). In my 5 years living in Vegas, I had many encounters with the homeless. Sometimes you can help, sometimes you can't. It's just not a normal city, and if you have a normal 8 to 5 job, you are the oddball. New York City and Los Angeles have some of this oddness, but it is restricted to 42nd st. or Hollywood Blvd. In Las Vegas, the only place you DON'T see it is in the affluent communities like Green Valley or Summerlin. Otherwise, there are casinos everywhere in the valley, and you can find homeless just about anywhere in the valley, storm sewers included.
