Rob Miller-raised almost a million thru Act Blue.
http://www.actblue.com/entity/fundraisers/19079

I make this post so we don't forget about the man running against Rep. Joe Wilson.

"South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson has raised more than $1 million for his own campaign treasury since his "You lie" shout during President Obama's address to Congress two weeks ago. And now Wilson is spreading the wealth with his Republican colleagues.

Wilson is headed to Michigan Oct. 2 for a fundraiser with Tim Walberg, a Republican who held the 7th District seat for one term before he was ousted by Democrat Mark Schauer in 2008."

"Wilson faces his own competitive race in 2010, against Democrat Rob Miller, who has also raised more than $1 million since Wilson's outburst."

"Financial reports filed next month will show which side gets more mileage. The quarter ends Sept. 30."

1. This needs to be pointed out to the villagers
According to the media the DCCC and DSCC donations are down because of the perceived anti-business slant of the Obama Admin

It appears that it's because more people (me included) are giving to candidates directly or through political committees like Act Blue

3. Money Only Goes So Far...
The meme is that the Democrats fundraising is down this year from 2008. First of all, that was a Presidential election with a lot more seats up for grabs...and a very motivated party. Damn right there are some Democrats who aren't getting "loved"...they have still to prove if they deserve it. Pass healthcare with a robust public option and the money will start moving.

Methinks the netroots in specific are in wait-and-see mode...who proves their worth and who will be worth challenging. Money is important for teevee commercials, but the real value is having "boots on the ground" and the one thing the corporate media doesn't notice is how well many Democratic candidates have built strong local organizations....and that's what ultimately wins elections.

Right now the corporate media needs to hammer the meme that the GOOP is making a "comeback". The polls don't show it, but it makes for good food fights and ratings.
