Racially and Politically Motivated Attacks in Minneapolis
When I saw this story on the news last night, I felt ill. Three white men assaulted two black men in separate incidents yesterday. One man was beaten, robbed, and forced to strip. The other was attacked by assailants who had guns, brass knuckles, and an axe.

The first man who was assaulted stated: "the men also hurled racial slurs at him, and threats against President Obama and his family.

"Talk about killing Obama, killing his kids" Thomas said. "Killing his wife, killing his whole family.""

This is what happens when the right wing heats up their thinly veiled violent racist rhetoric. This is what happens when the health care debate is framed by them as an attempt to gain reparations for minorities. This is what happens when racist behavior and language is not called out and condemned for what it is. Innocent people get hurt.

I really hope this was an isolated occurrence. But there is so much hate and fear coming from the right lately, that I worry this is going to escalate into bloodshed around our nation.

1. I worry about it too.
That is sickening. And I'm afraid that they are not isolated occurrences.

3. Shall we pass it along to the FCC in hope they start taking hate-pundits seriously
Frankly, a glimpse of nipple is not even close to being offensive than the bigotry and hate the hate-pundits spew to make their living on air. THEY are obscene.
