My facebook buddy's "Under God" video & my response

I know....oh brother!

I have to say that my facebook friend, while a fundie and freep-ette type who seems to gets all her info thru RW propaganda, actually does LISTEN and engage in discourse about things.

She was really surprised when I told her about the true history of the Pledge, it's socialist and pro-Union author (union as in, not confederate, as it was published in 1892) and the Knights of Columbus's campaign to add "under God" almost 60 years after the initial publication.

I then asked her to consider why teabaggers holding "secede" signs would pledge to One Nation Indivisible, if they in fact believed it was and is divisible, and sentiment aside, do they really believe in the Pledge of Allegiance?

More info on the Pledge and its NOT right wing roots, here:

3. Oh absolutely
You can't give them an inch because these little things like letting them put the "God" ref in there, not only does it change the orig meaning of it but then they use it as LOL "proof" that "we're a Christian nation!?
