OBAMA: We're Trying To Give Everyone Health Care-While "They're Putting A Hitler Mustache On You"
Edited on Sun Sep-27-09 10:19 AM by kpete
"We have been waiting for health reform since the days of Teddy Roosevelt. We've been waiting since the days of Harry Truman," he said in remarks at the caucus foundation's annual dinner. "We've been waiting since Johnson and Nixon and Clinton."

"We cannot wait any longer," Obama said.

....................

At the G-20 economic summit that wrapped up Friday in Pennsylvania, Obama told a story about an unnamed foreign leader who privately told the president he didn't understand the at-times contentious debate over changing the health care system.

"He says, 'We don't understand it. You're trying to make sure everybody has health care and they're putting a Hitler mustache on you. That doesn't make sense to me,'" Obama said, quoting the world leader he declined to identify.

1. The hypercapitalists know no shame
Their slander of President Obama is just more proof that the owners of America need to pay far more taxes.

2. Well, whoever that foreign leader was, I suppose he has a legitimate right
to be confused.

It's too bad Obama couldn't say, "Well, you see, there's this group of people who hate me primarily because of my race...they also enjoy rubbing their balls on each other's faces."

3. Contempt for Obama outshines all else for these teabaggng nuts.
They look like monumental buffoons opposing healthcare reform with Hitler signs while 45,000 people die each year because they can't afford healthcare. Talk about absurd.

7. Some US citizens are a total embarassment. We are the laughingstock
of the rest of the world. When europeans get to know the sane among us, the dam breaks and the questions flow. Trust me. Its happened to me personally in my travels and with friend from across the pond that I have met.

9. It really doesn't make sense to anyone who is sane - it's a bit disconcerting to know...
...that the U.S. has by far the most insane people in the world.

13. It's the most insane media system in the world that's the problem.
When idiocy is made major news and people are encouraged to join, they do.

Before it's never been news when fools prance around.

10. Our opponents are schoolyard bully wannabes
They aren't even smart enough to use insults that aren't seen as non-sequiturs to a casual observer.

12. thanks for the post kpete ~ bet the young voters are confused
by the reference to an " Ancient Person" like Hitler as well.

I'll keep saying it, 'Lil Michael Steele is trying to reach the Hip Hop Crowd and Hip Hop is either gone or on the way out.

If we talk softly the Baggers will stay lost in the "50's.

15. I'm Sure That Many Leaders in Europe Whose Countries Were Actually Invaded by Nazi Germany
and whose citizens were systematically murdered, look at this comparison and think to themselves "the hell?".

In the early '90s, I remember that people who worked for my company in countries like France, Germany and others would get upset if any "military-like" imagery was used in sales conferences. You couldn't even say things like "sales battle plan"...
