Needed: Accessible, affordable, non-stigmatic mental health care. Off to a funeral.

We need more affordable, accessible, non-stigmatic mental health care provided by whatever health care coverage we can get. Or just provided as a service to our communities and the world.

Now I'm off to attend a funeral/memorial for a friend who this may have helped. Of course just because mental health care would be available, affordable, and no one would look down upon you for using it does not mean no one would die from stupid things like suicide (whether on purpose or accidentally), still it would help.

Good mental health care is difficult to get. If people were given easier access to mental health care, they would be more able to take care of themselves and their overall physical health would be better. It needs to be an important part of any heath care reform we see from Congress.
