In order for the political right to be in power they have to control the debate in this country.

Any time there is someone capable of shaping public opinion and making it a real debate, the VRWC unleashes character assassination against that person.

They were able to use this tactic against Bill Clinton because he had characters flaws. Obama does not have any character flaws so they have to be more convoluted and extreme in how they attack him.

It's not just limited to politicians.

Bill O'Reilly freaked out when Jeremy Glick was on his show because Glick was articulate and able to make it a real debate. A few days after the Glick incident, O'Reilly had someone on his show that alleged Israel and George W. Bush were involved in the 911 attacks. O'Reilly did not freak out because that person was not very articulate.

An ACORN represenative when on Glen Beck's show and was able to refute everything Beck said. As a result, Glen Beck alleged that the ACORN person tried to hit on his producer.


Being intelligent and well spoken = character assassination from the vast right wing conspiracy.

A lot of our own would have to answer for their own vote into that forray and would have to acknowledge what they knew prior to making that vote, or what they knew while certain actions were being taken by that administration.

Both men have character flaws, Obama doesn't have any sexual 'indiscretions'.

Most folks have engaged in private behavior that might not look wonderful were it publicly broadcast, even if there might be nothing really wrong with the behavior.

The Republicans once again control congress and the senate.

Gas prices are going through the roof and your paying $3.00 for a tomato.

Everywhere you go somebody is calling somebody a faggot

and The president wants 400 billion more for destroying another country.

Anything that helps people like bankrupcy laws and litigation is rendered impotent by new legislation.

10. Of course Obama has character flaws, they just aren't as apparent.

Like how he wants to be liked by everyone and will go out of his way to appease those who oppose him. That could be considered a character flaw. Unfortunately for the RW, it is not sex related so they cannot exploit it.
