Paper sorry for calling Sarah Palin a 'broad'
A newspaper has apologized after printing a photo caption that called former Alaska governor Sarah Palin a "broad" on its front page.

The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner published a story about Palin's speech at a Hong Kong investors conference on Wednesday. The caption that appeared with the photo for the story read, "A broad in Asia."

The News-Miner's managing editor Rod Boyce published an apology later in the afternoon for the paper's "terrible mistake."

6. 1. It was a play on words.
2. The term "a broad" with respect to women is demoralizing and sexist. They could have just stuck with "stupid" and that would have been gender neutral.

12. Well they should have apologized.
It's offensive...to broads everywhere.

Myself, I would have called her a "two-bit lying semi-retarded waste of ape sperm".
