I wrote a letter to the President
today. I won't post the whole thing, but I did say that any and all members of congress who have any kind of ties to the insurance and health care lobbyists and companies need to recuse themselves from the vote on health care reform and policy. I said that I knew that this would significantly lower the amount of votes, but that perhaps that kind of action was necessary to give the people in the country the help they needed.

I also mentioned that getting Medicare really wasn't a big help, either, that I get very little help from it myself, and that things I need, like dental care, isn't part of any help I get, so my teeth and mouth are suffering as a result, and teeth are rotting and not getting care of any kind.

I doubt if I'm going to even get an answer, never mind have my voice be heard, but I felt it was easier to write to Obama than it ever was possible with Bush. Eight years of all our lives, gone to waste, never to be recovered. I feel so angry about all of that, and wish we could be avenged for all that happened over those 8 years, but I guess it will never be accomplished.

Anyhow, I hope others take some time to write to the President about any concerns you might have, because at least there is someone who actually has a brain where it counts, and not hanging out his ass, like Bush.

1. he writes you back....... no really he does
In the last line of my return letter the president wrote " I share the same sense of urgency that Americans like you have voiced. I watched as my ailing mother struggled with stacks of insurance forms in the last moments of her life. This is not who we are as a nation; together,we will fix it."

So drop the busy man a line and don't be surprised when you get a White House letter addressed to yourself on White House parchment with the seal embossed on the top.

I would encourage anyone who wants a reply to send a letter.

Oh he even thanked me for contacting him................ imagine that.
