Edward Bernays, the father of modern marketing and propAganda coined the term "public relations" to replace the word propaganda after WWII.

All of the right wing PR/propaganda firms in Washington operate on Bernays principal that it is more effective to change minds by appealing to peoples fears and desires than to persuade them by logical argument.

This is one way the right wing gets over on us.

Remember how instrumental Lyndon Johnson's 'daisy' ad was, that showed a nuclear explosion, in the 60's? It got him elected.
He made people more afraid of nuclear war than they were of the Russians.

This is Just one of the levels we are working on with the film.

We are just trying to appeal to those crowds as we see that those are the people that need to be reached on this issue.

I feel like those kind of movies, as well as shows like "24" work to propagandize the American people to accept torture.
