Anybody Else See the Irony in These Two Headlines from Today? |
|
Bank (Bank of America Corp.) suspends dealings with ACORN housing entity (AP) Ohio Seeks Billions From BofA in LawsuitWanna venture a guess as to which one is headlined on my Yahoo page? I found the other only after I clicked the link to the first, hidden under "More on Banking."

1. I'm betting the top headline was the one you saw first... |

On your Yahoo page.
I didn't get the irony, but I'm deficient in that area.

2. ACORN gets dumped by BofA, receives the media wrath on the front page |

while BofA - who dumped ACORN at the behest of three Repugs - is the one royally giving the screw to folks and should be receiving appropriate media attention and thorough investigation. That's how I see it in a nutshell.
Maybe irony isn't quite the word I was looking for, but I did find it ironic that the ACORN story headlined on the front page of my Yahoo account, as if the whole ACORN 'story' was MORE egregious/dangerous/scandalous/harmful/bad/whatever/I'm/so/pissed/it/doesn't/matter...
Edited to add, thanks for asking, CaliforniaPeggy, and I am sorry my post was so cryptic. Maybe I will consider editing it if I can think of something better to say. Posted in haste because I was so frustrated. :hi:
