Man asks to be deported
Source: Boston Herald

Framingham police say a man walked into the station, claimed he was an illegal immigrant who had stolen another man’s identity, and asked to be deported to his homeland because he could not afford it himself.

Police tell The MetroWest Daily News they arrested 29-year-old Carlos Boc after he made his confession on Saturday night.

2. or he wants a one-way free ticket home and cannot afford it otherwise.
This place has had those day-worker jobs dry up like nothing else.

Yes, the economy is that bad.

3. My cousin, who WAS a new home subcontractor said they were going to Canada.
About a year or so ago, my cousin, who has since gone into the auto repair business, said that the illegal workers in the construction trades had actually been leaving DC area for Canada for some time.

7. see: Cheech and Chong's Up in Smoke -
"At their trial, the pair are released on a technicality after the judge is discovered to be drinking vodka. In an attempt to procure some marijuana, they visit Pedro's cousin Strawberry (Tom Skerritt). They narrowly escape a police raid on Strawberry's house, but are soon deported to Tijuana by the INS, along with Pedro's illegal immigrant relatives (who just want a free ride to a wedding)."

first thing that popped into my head.
