...we'll have to hope the Budget Committee's reconciliation restores it. But I've become pessimistic -- I've heard too many Democrats say "even a bill without a public option is better than no bill at all" over the past few days. :-(

It's in the other four (or two, if you count the three House bills as one) bills, and so long as he votes for cloture on a conference committee report that contains a public option, it's irrelevant.
The FinCom bill is irrelevant -- the game is elsewhere.
