And is Polanski a smokescreen/diversion for real and horrific change in our tax code?

1. I'd say both are important. You're talking apples and oranges.

4. No. I am talking about things that matter and things that don't
If corporate taxes get abolished in Calfornia, our state will die. If Polanski gets freed, not freed, tied to a truck and sent to Wyoming--none of this matters.

5. Of course it matters
Anything involving the rule of law matters. Again, you're arguing apples and oranges. There's room enough for both matters to be resolved or paid attention to. We don't have to be restricted to one topic. That's ridiculous.

7. OK, spammer with low post count. Have it your way.
If you want to masturbate over Polanski that is your perversion. But some of us care about the good of the country.

8. Weak, very weak.
Am I spouting right wing rhetoric? Am I being a troll?

No. I'm simply stating a fact. And your calling me a pervert doesn't make you any more correct. Childish, yes.

And frankly, I think what happens in our legal system, whether it involves Polanski or Cheney or anyone else, is a relevant topic of conversation -- and is, indeed, about the good of the country.

There are many issues to be discussed, not just the ones you approve of.

12. Happy to Bump It
If only to point out its inanity.

And what difference does it make how many posts I have?

Are we only allowed to discuss a matter or express an opposing position if we have 1000+ posts?

How inclusive of you.

10. I think the 2 issues are related.
They both prove how America has the best justice system money can buy.
