4. Half of those fucking pukes voted no by proxy and didn't even show up.
Disgusting. Rockefeller made a very compelling statement for the PO. The people in that room are scum for voting against this. Absolutely disgusting.

9. No.
But the Finance Committee bill will not have it.

It is a bad bill and deserves little serious consideration.

14. Then why was Obama out shilling for it all last week
Edited on Tue Sep-29-09 02:13 PM by Generator
Where is his responsiblity in this? Where is his leadership? Yeah, sure he wants a public option HE SAYS, but what has he done to get "his" Democrats to go along with it? How much does Obama really want the public option? From what I've seen-not much.

Fuck it-it doesn't matter you people defend anything Obama does-when it is him that is the leader, sets the tone, and he started out in a position of weakness. I blame Obama.

11. Don't panic.
The public option will probably be in the final bill.

But the amendment I really want to make it in the final bill is the Kucinich amendment.
http://www.ohiodailyblog.com/content/kucinich-single-payer-amendment-passes-house-committee
This amendment will make it possible to have single-payer plans at the state level. When a few states get single-payer going, residents of other states will start voting with their feet.

16. they have proved themselves to be a$$holes
Edited on Tue Sep-29-09 02:16 PM by bdamomma
they are just for themselves and their corporate friends. In some strange way I hope the public option goes through, or the insurance companies are going to be rolling in greedy ways.

We have to remember if this bill does not have what Obama wants (public option) he will not sign it.
