So now that the Senate finance committee has publicly stabbed "the base" in the back, now what? |
|
I mean, seriously, how does this play out from here?
Or is this all feint-and-parry to make sure we get no public option?

And while I think they are all whores with pimps, I don't call them stupid mother fuckers on the phone. If you do that they just hang up and nothing is done with your call.
I'm so mad I can spit too, and I called them today and told them just that.

7. We still don't how the HELP and Finance bills will be merged |
|
if doesn't have a PO then there's always the chance it can added on the floor. If that doesn't work, then there is conference committee I would add it always been possiblity that the Senate and House would pass bills with and without a public option.

10. They haven't even gotten their bill out of committee yet. Then the Senate must take that |
|

POS and merge it with the Senate HELP committee's bill and present something to the entire Senate for a vote. The House has 3 versions of a bill that must be merged and voted on before the two houses can be reconciled into a final bill.
P.S. The Senate Finance bill is the only one out of the 5 that does not have a public option.

Whether to allow a floor vote on HELP or require the HELP committee to reconcile their bill with Finance.

It's all kabuki theater ... nothing is going to change much save for "the rich" insurance industries are going to get "even richer."
Gawd! I hate The Senate! They are so damn out of touch.
