Again, Kudos to Rahm Emannuel for recruiting and defending the Blue Dogs that screwed us! |
|
I guess for Democrats to run ads targeting them would've been "fucking stupid." How are the insurance companies going to fund the NEXT round of Blue Dog campaigns unless we throw Americans under the bus on behalf of the healthcare industry.
And hats off to Obama for making him the first hire on the first day of his administration. He also gave some great speeches telling the left to back off.
Hats off to those two---HOPE! CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN! YES WE CAN!

Just getting the predictable responses out of the way.

3. And don't forget that this is really a "chess game" and we are too stupid to understand |
|
it only "looks" like we are being thrown under the bus.

Maybe because it's become laughably absurd.

As E B WHite once remarked, "Humor plays close to the big, hot fire which is Truth."
And does an Adminsitration as sold out as this one is, really want anything like the Truth to surface?

Someone needs to punch his nose. My mother on her worst day was wiser, stronger and better than he will ever be on his best.

2. Rahm Emmanuel is the biggest enemy of healthcare Reform |
|
there is, and he and his brother both have tremendous influence. And make no mistake, Obama picked him. Thyere has been a chilling effect on all that "hope" sinece Rahm took over.

4. Leave Rahm out of this |
|
he did not recruit Baucus nor Conrad, they have been in the Senate since he was in high school (more or less).

6. He did defend them from "the left of the left" early on when we were mounting opposition |
|
to the Blue Dogs. So no, he didn't recruit every Blue Dog who screwed us, but he did do a great job of shouting down, arm twisting, and floating trial balloons about getting rid of the public option.
Well today, Rahm, it all pays off. Pop a bottle of champagne and celebrate---mission accomplished!

The guy is poison. That he was Obama's first hire tells you everything you need to know about what kind of leadership we're going to get.

8. Yeah, I was saying he was defending the Blue Dogs. I agree, Obama hired him first for a reason. |
|
We can never let Obama wash his hands of Rahm, and send him out to be the bad cop. They are one in the same. And they don't like us one bit, now that they don't need our votes.

13. He told liberal groups to stop running negative ads |
|
against them. And I'm sure when they are up for re-election, he will make sure Obama endorses them.
The choice of Rahm Emanuel for COS was a warning of what was to come. He's a DLCer and unless Obama's chess game involves some secret move never before played, anyone who knows anything about this man, should not be surprised at what is going on.
I know, he's not the boss, he 'doesn't make policy'. True, but the boss chooses people who have the same ideological beliefs as he does. And yes, I know, Obama wanted to surround himself with people who don't always agree with him! So, to those people we are all wondering, when does Obama tell him that he doesn't agree with him?

15. I'd love to see Rahm out of this entirely. |
|
If only the Puppet Master's strings to him did not also control the movement of his strings over the President.
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.
Tolkien warned us about this some five years before Eisenhower did.

Because Rahm was in charge of House candidates. Schumer was in charge of DSCC.

the debate, which included Rahm telling progressives groups to stop running ads against Blue Dog Sentators.

A few baby steps in the right direction can't make up for the insane shift in other areas that matter the most to Americans.

Among other things, he seems to have a bad case of "little man" syndrome. And it is getting in the way of our agenda.
