Is there a website or something that explains this whole mess? |
|
Which bills are still "viable" and which ones are "dead"...who writes them and how long do they get to debate them in committee and how do they move from comittee to the house or senate...? who goes first, the House or the Senate?
should I be totally discourgaed that the PO in the current bill is toast, or is there another bill the House & Senate will actually vote on? :wtf: I am feeling very confused by the process, and I am almost sure that is the way Washington WANTS most of us to be! help!

1. There are 4 other bills all with the Public Option |
|
We won't know until it comes out of conference committee.
The final vote will be on a bill that reconciles the key features from 5 bills, 2 Senate and 3 House, 4 with the Public Option one without.

Is it totally normal to be bewildered by this ...or am I just not tuned in enough?
I'll have to look at Whitehouse.gov and see if there's some links to the legislation process...
