Michael Moore's next target MUST be the Media. |
|
He's nailed Bush to the wall, taken on the gun nuts/US fear syndrome, the healthcare industry and the financial arena. And Bill Maher covered issues with organized religion very nicely in Religulous.
The two remaining targets, in my mind, are politicians in general, and the big money game that is working so hard to keep the public as misinformed as possible - the media. I know he is probably worn out, but I think it is badly needed!

Our so-called "free press" could be replaced by lemmings without anyone noticing!

3. I couldn't agree more. |

Our corporate media, in my opinion, is the #1 source of misinformation and it does a tremendous disservice for our country. There are countless lies and false, unchecked information that our media broadcasts daily in order to promote their own agenda. I'm sure that Michael Moore could make a great documentary about it.

5. Oh Ya, he's really changed things so far! |

Maybe, rather than wait for Moore it might be better to get off our asses and organize.
Ridicule the Tea Baggers all you want, but they don't really look like they spend a lot of time posting to web sites. They didn't e-mail those town hall meetings, they showed up. I don't care how many they had in D.C., it made an impact.
Screeching in this forum and waiting for Big Mikey to come save us ain't gonna cut it!

Provide factual, well sourced analysis of who owns the M$M, and how it's used to subvert democracy and promote the worst aspects of our empire.

He should get Ratigan, Rachel and Big Ed to work with him on that one. :bounce:
Wonder if he could combine the media angle with getting money out of politics. I should live so long

10. Of the three you mentioned, I think the media should be at top in order. |

Maybe a petition is in order?
