I can't listen to Ed today. I just don't need the hollering. It's been a bad day.

I love him of course, but I just changed the channel because I can't stand the yelling. Sorry Ed.

2. You're missing Tom Harkin then.
He just promised that a bill with a public option will be on the President's desk by Christmas.

Today wasn't a set back and if they don't get 60 votes in the Senate, it'll go to reconciliation.

3. try turning it all off for a few days or so. nothing too monumental will happen
I have stopped watching ALL news, regardless of outlet. I only listen to Hartmann and Steph Miller periodically while I drive around in the morning. I used to be 100% news and progressive talk all the time. I took a break after the election and I havent looked back. I dont need the anger of constant news making me crazy all the time. The weather is great and I've got a backlog of books to read.

4. He's got Harkin on now
And Harkin says that there will be a bill on Obama's desk by Christmas and it will have a public option. He just said that if thet don't have 60 votes, "We will go to reconciliation". I love our Senator from the great state of Iowa. The other guy, not so much.

8. Thanks. I knew SOMEBODY would feel the way I do. I've been watching
the finance committee meetings (on the computer) since 10:00 this morning. I now have a crick in my neck and my eyes are all dried up. I'm listening to Family Guy now.

9. Then you've missed Tom Harkin & Jay Rockefeller.
Harkin asserted very clearly that there are over 50 votes for public option in the Senate. I'm a snob and Ed's yelling and rowdyboy routine can rub me the wrong way, but he's still about my favorite liberal redneck.

12. Ed Schultz. He's had a radio show for a number of years, and
now he's got a TV show on MSNBC at 6:00 eastern time.

telling you what you should or shouldn't have in terms of TV viewing choices in your home.

Here, have a beer.

you did the right thing, with the beer...

there is the 'how would i know what you're talking about?' aspect to certain posters...even though they are plugged into the webs...

it's just their thing...

19. Ed is just what we need to get the message to the masses
I love Ed. Not just because I agree with him on most everything but because he is the kind of regular guy to whom most of the working class guys in America can relate. I think part of our problem in getting through to the average person out there has been the success of the righties and the media to portray progressives as weak, ineffectual intellectuals who live in some ivory tower. Ed is the antidote to that. People like a fighter and he is one. My husband's new shop doesn't have cable cause we have had to cut way back so I usually miss him, these days
