Orrin Hatch calls for 70 votes on reform -- because it is 1/6 of GDP |
|
Sounds like a budget issue to me. Sounds like reconciliation is not only in order, but necessary.
Thanks Orrin!

1. the Bush tax cuts were a large percent of GDP, too |
|
did that require 70% as well? Oops, no, it went to reconciliation...
(I know, it was not 1/6 of GDP, but it was still a large amount)

Looks like the pukes are getting a little nervous that we may actually get a PO and the 60 votes we need. He can call for anything he likes. He won't get it.

9. If he's basing that on the number of Reps in the entire Congress |
|
I agree.
70 votes in all of Congress would be a slam dunk.

11. Here is the part that pisses me off and is never corrected. |
|
And yes they have again twisted a negative. The question should be, is why is healthcare 1/6 of our GDP and much lower in all other Countries.
But that is not the part that pisses me off, why doesn't any commentator ask.... where in any bill does the government take over Doctors income? Medical Device Manufacturers income? Hospital Income? Beckman Coulter is being nationalized? Abbott Laboratories? ........... on and on.
