Maine has to elect someone who holds the best interests of the people of Maine in prominence...

Not the health insurance industry.

Not the war mongering PNAC crowd.

Not the GOP Right Wing when the GOP Right Wing needs her vote to maintain GOP Right Wing Values.

Enough is enough

1. get rid of the corporate dems and extreme repubs before moderate repubs
the dems are voting against the public option - they are making the decision to hose it.

2. I expect Maine doesn't need healthcare?
It would appear that Snowe couldn't care less if people were not covered for healthcare. It is the right of all people to have decent healthcare.

She is just playing a political football.

3. She's not running until 2012...
...and in all of her re-election races, has won a majority or near-majority of the Democratic vote.

It's the safest seat in the Senate.

Save the money and give it to a competitive 2010 House race.

4. Actually, there's still rumors she may run for Governor
When Baldacci is up in 2010, that would leave her seat open for appointment or special election.

7. McKernan has been out of the spotlight for so long
I don't think Limpy even remembers they're married anymore.
