Maybe i missed it, but mandating me to ourchase what will be, at best, a mediocre
, a mediocre plan that's overpriced and still leaves a substantial portion of Americans, particularly those most vulnerable and most in need of a little common decency just to get on their feet,

Your post is the reason why: No pressure valve. No escape hatch.

Under the insurance industry's favored plans, there will be no way to quell the anger over bad service, quality, or extortionate policies. That would lead to a MASSIVE revolt against the insurance business in general -- car, home, life, and all other insurances, too.

Perhaps the industry will, in fact, blunder us into it. But there is a lot of money at stake. That's why I am almost 100% certain that there will be a Public Option.

And that's almost 100% certain.

5. One everyone can access? One that is affordable for all (via subsidies or employer contrib)?
Thats all yet to see and seemingly unlikely
