Son sure Kentucky census worker was slain

<snip>
LONDON, Ky. (AP) - The son of a U.S. Census Bureau worker found
hanging from a tree in eastern Kentucky with the word "fed"
scrawled on his chest said Tuesday he has no doubt his father was
slain.

Josh Sparkman told The Associated Press in a phone interview
that he is frustrated investigators have not ruled out suicide or
accidental death.

"I look at it as disrespectful to be still throwing suicide and
accident around," he said. "He didn't do this to himself. That's
dishonorable. My dad was a good man. No person on this planet is
going to fight cancer like he did, then turn around and kill
himself a year or so later."

<snip>
Josh Sparkman, 19, said he learned of his father's death Sept.
13, a day after his body was found. Bill Sparkman adopted him when
he was a baby.

"I completely broke down," Josh Sparkman said. "It's always
just been me and my dad. It's all I have, and I don't have him
anymore. I'm just kind of by myself."

Kentucky State Police Maj. Lynn Cross said he has "full and
complete" faith in the investigation after reviewing the case
Monday with Capt. Lisa Rudzinski, commander of the London
detachment that is investigating Sparkman's death. He declined to
divulge any details from the briefing.

"The son may or may not know all these things," Cross said.
"I doubt that he knows a lot of stuff that the investigators know.
He probably shouldn't know at this current time, but there will be
a time when he will be advised of it."

2. i heard (maybe on randi's show?) that he had rope around his
neck, attached to tree, but feet were on the ground--naked except for socks, his hands taped/bound behind his back and an i.d. taped to his...? forhead or neck i think.

how the fuck is that suicide when your hands are bound behind your back?

3. That's not how the police work. They look at all possible angles to make sure they get it right.
The son is free to believe whatever he wants. But he doesn't "know" that his dad was incapable of killing himself.

I feel for the family. But the process must run it's course.
