Has the issue of how mandatory insurance would be "enforced"
been addressed? I haven't heard much talk of that.

1. Yes, something said 'it would be free to poor people'.

Figured the Ghost of Darwin will punish you if you do not take free health insurance, hence enforcement. Fundies are scared.

4. Anyone who makes less than a million dollars a year.
Actually I would say it would be a cost of living standard based on certain guidelines and individual poverty rates in each county.

3. I've been asking that too.
I'm going to call both my senators tomorrow and demand an answer.

Suggest everyone do the same.

5. The bills I have read use the Federal Poverty Level
Most have it that Medicaid would be expanded to include people at 133% of FPL. Subsidies would be available to keep cost at 12% of income for those at up to 400% of FPL. Does look as if everyone else will be doomed to paying whatever the vultures care to charge.

6. My guess would be that the premium would be deducted from
any subsidy you get...unemployment, welfare, etc., the same as medicare is deducted from your SS check. Those who are working but at a low paying job, it would be deducted from their gross the same as Fed Taxes & FICA.
