OK, there's a video on CNN.com claiming the SS has identifed the creator of the 'Kill Obama'
Facebook poll. For unknown reasons, I can't view a CNN video here. Can somebody check it out? Please.

1. They had that yesterday. I guarantee the Secret Service found out who
posted the poll PDQ and have probably already paid him a visit. As far as the criminals who voted YES (it most certainly IS a crime to advocate killing the President and they did so with a yes vote), they may or may not be able to track them down.

3. If it involves a trip to the server, they can all be tracked.

4. they will be able to track them down too
They have to accept the app, which pulls all their info from their facebook page, including name, etc. You know they will be tracking those people down.

6. Agent Mike knows everyone, everything, and he's got mad 'puter skilz too
Elementary... everyone who posts or uses Facebook, or any other public website, in any way has left a trail. Guaranteed. He even knows how to get around proxy servers now.

9. Yup. And Agent Mike will check to see what other places
these brilliant people have been visiting, too. Who knows what he'll find?

Agent Mike: All that porn...tut, tut! And what's this Stormfront business, here? I think you're going to have to come with us, now. Bill, grab that PC, OK? And get the notebook I saw in the living room, too. Looks like another late night.

16. Agent Mike is omnipotent.

He gets his intel from a hermetically sealed mayonnaise jar that came from Funk & Wagnall's porch. :eyes:

5. The report says that authorities talked to the guy who developed the polling application,
...and he knows who made that poll.

8. and it's inferred that the Secret Service is/has contacted the puke.
I like the part where the highest rated poll on Facebook now is should the idiot who created the poll be arrested. Good sign. Kyra Phillips to her credit also was disgusted.

7. The CNN report was about the developer.
It did say that he had given the poll creator's name to the SS.

I have no doubt that two big burly black agents have already shown up to discuss the poll with the creator. Now...that's a YouTube video I'd love to see.

They can probably get the Yes voters' names, too. More visits. I can see it now:

Office Manager: Ted...there are two Secret Service agents in the conference room. They'd like a word with you. Why are they here?

T. Bagger: Huh? Secret Service? I dunno...

Office Manager: Please stop in my office when you're finished.

11. Sure, although I can't think of any reason why they have to be black.

15. Just a little extra fun for the SS.
And a little extra fear and loathing for the interviewee, who is probably a racist as well as an Obama-hater. Poetic justice.

12. Oooo I know one guy who might get that call...
I had to hide his posts on FB because all he posts are Beck/Hannity/Fox bs. I'be surprised if he didn't vote in that poll if he saw it. I'd delete him from my friends him except for one thing. He hires me a lot!

17. It all depends on how stupid he is.
People with more than half a brain realize that everything on Facebook is recorded and mined for its marketing value. That's the point, really, of all those apps. That's why they collect all that information when you accept them.

It's a marketer's dream...knowing the likes and dislikes of individuals.

So, whatever you do in those apps is tracked for that reason. Of course, in this case, it might have other uses...
