Knowing who owns and operates this country it is easy to read the tea leaves on health care and so many other things. Well intentioned folks who somehow think we are going to get an even mildly people-friendly health care bill would do well to to become realistic in their assessment of who writes these bills and who decides how the bill will proceed and what will eventually get voted on.

The fantasies might be nice for a while but how many more times are you going to get fooled before you examine the easily observable facts on the ground. How many more times are you going to approach that football as Lucy promises yet again...

I am fairly patient. I can't do anything about it anyway, but I have a feeling America is heading in the right direction after a very, very long decade...I believe things are going to get better instead of worse...
