Eek! Sarah Palin's book #1 on Amazon & Barnes&Noble - I know what to do
Sarah Palin's book, "Going Rogue" comes out Nov. 17th but apparently it's already hit #1 in preorders on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. (according to Michelle Malkin's creepy HotAir.com http://hotair.com/archives/2009/09/30/amazing-palins-book-number-one-on-both-amazon-and-barnes-noble-bestseller-list/

So what to do about it? One idea I saw on Twitter is to displace it by everyone pre-ordering a copy of the Sarah Palin satire that comes out 2 weeks earlier. The book is "I Am Martin Eisenstadt: One Man's (Wildly Inappropriate) Adventures with the Last Republicans" and this is from the fake pundit who spread the word that Palin didn't know where Africa is.

Here's the Amazon page for it:
http://www.amazon.com/Martin-Eisenstadt-Inappropriate-Adventures-Republicans/dp/0865479143

And here it is on Barnes & Noble (there's a funny video trailer for it here, too)

4. Pathetic that they think she can actually write a book
If she actually wrote it, I'd probably buy it myself, just for the humor, also.

A book by Crunchwrap Supreme.

that "conservatives" would want a book WITH FOUR HUNDRED PAGES.

8. Oh, don't worry,
it'll be in a REALLY big font size. I imagine the whole thing will actually run less than ten pages in a 12 point, single spaced font. Of course, the photo section will be about 50 pages . . . .

14. I thought it was odd that the article I saw about the book took pains to mention the 400 page thing
As if it was required to give the book some gravitas. It would be one thing to mention the length of a 1500 page book, for example, that would be notably long, but 400 pages isn't particularly unusual and shouldn't rate a mention (unless it's a dimbulb republican pretending to be 'serious'...)

Yoga positions in tight jogging sweats, posing next to her moosekill, crap like that that makes guys like Rich Lowry sit up a little straighter in their chairs.

18. Although I am
a 55 year old male, on the downside of the old libido thing, sarah palin makes me want to puke every time I see her nasty self. She is an extremely ugly human being to this veteran who actually did something for his country.

6. That's the usual conservative mass-buy.
Those copies will be recycled into toilet paper.

Then the second printing will go on sale for $1

7. Palin didn't write this book or any other....
Her ghost writer in San Diego wrote this book for her. Sarah can't even read a newspaper... let alone write a book.

11. The person who DID write Sarah Palin's book
is as big of a nut job as she is. Obviously, these books have been bought up in big lots by conservative groups to hand out to their people.

21. Count Me in as one who
clamors for "MORE, MORE." I never pass up a B-I-A post.

No doubt many are bored at my attempt to expose Louisiana garbage as Louisiana garbage. I do live in Mississippi but barely a stones throw from the wack job state of Marie Lavou and Alligators and Voodoo graveyards. A state I truly love.

24. I find Louisiana fascinating.
We really enjoyed our stay in New Orleans a couple years ago. It's such a different atmosphere than what I'm used to. I LOVED that graveyard where Marie Lavou was buried. I got some great shots there.

Marie Lavou supposedly is buried in several locations in New Orleans and still haunts her old digs on St Ann Street.

26. Best seller? Or puffed up seller?
If I remember correctly, the reason why these conservative books are on the top 10 lists so often is not because people are buying them to read them, it's because conservative interest groups like ones funded by Scaife or that newspaper guy out of Pittsburgh, are buying them in bulk. They're not necessarily best-sellers, they're just puffed up to be by bulk orders!

It's probably the same with this toilet paper roll masquerading as a book.
