Looks like HCR may be the Blue Dogs' Waterloo
It seems that the Blue Dogs are stuck between a rock and a hard place.
1. They can vote against a PO and alienate a substantial chunk of their base and lose the next election.
2. They can vote for the PO and ruin their credibility in the eyes of their corporate donors .

Either way , it looks like their political career is on life support. If they had end of life counseling for their careers , I think one of the big questions on the table would be "which choice will be the easiest for me to live with?".

How much is it worth to be able to look in the mirror and say "It was the right thing to do."?
The cost would vary from person to person , but we"ll find out .

1. (shrug) That's life in the big city, when you go all-in. They made their own bed - fuck 'em.

2. Worse, it could be ours.
Our Senate "leadership" is bowing to their every demand. So the Blue Dogs are killing health care reform the hard way, by passing poison pill bills.

3. I think they're counting on getting enough campaign cash (bribes)
to overwhelm any challengers in the next election.

They had two choices, do the right thing and gain the admiration of their constituents so they would win easily, or go for the bribes and buy another term.

Leave to the morally bankrupt conserva-dems to go for the money just like any Republican would do.

4. It will be a great day when all the Boll Weevil Blue Dog DINOs are swept out of office...
...and replaced with authentic progressives.
