ALAN GRAYSON: If the President has a BLT tomorrow, Republicans will try to ban bacon
Dear Douglas,

It's time for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to get on with it.

For the last six months, Democrats have been dwelling, debating, and hoping for Republican Olympia Snowe to vote for health care reform.

Why?

Olympia Snowe was not elected President last year. Olympia Snowe has no veto power in the Senate.

Olympia Snowe represents a state with one half of one percent of America's population.

Sign my petition to Harry Reid to pass real health care reform now.

Americans should not have to wait any longer.

Democrats are for health care reform. Republicans are against health care reform and quite simply, Barack Obama.

If Barack Obama were somehow able to cure hunger in the world, the Republicans would blame him for overpopulation.

If Barack Obama could somehow bring about world peace, they'd blame him for destroying the defense industry.

In fact, if Barack Obama has a BLT sandwich tomorrow for lunch, they will try to ban bacon.
America doesn't care if it gets 51 votes in the Senate or 60 votes in the Senate or 83 votes in the Senate.

Sign the petition to Harry Reid. Tell him to pass health care reform out of the Senate now.
Every year, over 44,000 Americans die because they don't have health care.

What are we waiting for?

Alan Grayson

"The Republican Party has thrown in its lot with the terrorists...in criticizing the President for receiving the Nobel Peace prize...

Republicans cheered when America failed to land the Olympics, and now they are criticizing the President...for receiving...an honor in which every American can take great pride...The 2009 version of the Republican Party...has no shame and has proved that they will put politics above patriotism at every turn. It's no wonder only 20 percent of Americans admit to being Republicans anymore..."

11. I just opened my email to his note, and laughed out loud at that.
Then I sent Harry Reid a little piece of my mind.

17. i. love. this. man.
the democrats need to wake up and see the future, or they will be left behind.

i'm hoping every time he opens his mouth he gets huge donations. i'll try to do my part. if i get any calls from democratic funds solicitors i'll say no, sorry, all my contributions are going to alan grayson. and i live in new york city.

just maybe, with a little more polish (but no slickness), we could be looking at a future democratic presidential candidate...

he is proving that democrats, even americans, are starving for the frank, unvarnished truth.

but the rest of the democrats probably have their fingers in their ears, going la la la la la la.....

i can dream.
