Limbaugh Got What He Deserved. His Worst Nightmare |
|
He got judged for the content of his character, not the color of his skin.

2. He finds material, or creates it. |
|
That isn't the issue. He didn't get what he really wanted.

4. The significance is that finally he's being marginalized. |
|
The tide is turning. Pretty soon the Hannitys and Becks etc. will be marginalized. Cast off as "fringe" nuts.
You can see the way they are reporting on Cheney and Kristols "new" group. Tweety called them "fringe."
Good sign.
Limbaugh recently complained that they don't want him in the NFL because it would make him "mainstream".

|
in this case the NFL, the team owners, and football players.

12. I agree--he is going to make hay out of this for weeks |
|
The fact that some media outlets made up some remarks (the stuff about slavery) and ran it alongside the authentic remarks (about McNabb) gives him a legal justification to drag this out for a long time.

14. Oh that is just such bullshit. Just a couple of weeks ago he |
|
said the schools need to be segregated again. I heard him myself.
He's not gonna win by complaining that he didn't say this or that. He's said too much.

17. That's why some media outlets made a huge gaffe by making shit up |
|
There was too much that actually existed--why make more stuff up? Especially when it isn't anymore incendiary than what he actually spewed?
I wouldn't be surprised if somebody on Limbaugh's side made up the added remarks, which are already being refuted by the sources. It gives him something legitimate to complain about, and it was no necessary to argue against him in the first place.

15. Limbaugh never runs out of material. |
|
He just makes stuff up, as this case shows.
Limbaugh really wanted to be an owner.

7. Rush really wanted to own |
|
the Rams and he didn't get what he wanted because of all the racist comments he has made. Media Matters made a video and sent it to the NFL Commissioner fast. So I say, The NFL has rejected Rush Hudson Limbaugh. Mmm Mmm Mmm. Did he think by owning a football team it would give him respectability in the billionaire boys club? No cigar.

9. I shows how far outside the mainstream his views are. |
|
It also shows that his views, in public, anyway, are problematic even for a number of very rich, mostly very conservative whites. If you're too much of a public racist for the likes of Jerry Jones and Al Davis, that's saying something.

|
I mean geez, it's not like we just discovere Limbaugh was a racist - we've known it for at least a decade and yet Checketts was willing to go into partnership with the asshole. I don't think Checketts deserves the team either. If he wants to be partners with a very well documented racist then he(Checketts) is a racist too.
