Holy !*%@ (re: Republicans just on CNN and MSNBC)
A few minutes before 5:00pm, Wolf Blitzer was interviewing some older man and a lady (I'm seen her snide ass before, but I can't remember her name). She blamed Obama for running up the deficit, then the man pointed out that it was only done to help get this country out of the economic mess that George Bush left it in...and then the lady says something along the lines of, "George Bush presided over the longest peacetime recession recovery, 52 months."

Is she insane? Just a few months of George Bush's presidency could be considered peacetime, so what the hell was she talking about?

I was going to post this, but I was laying in bed, just about to take a nap. Then I watch Hardball. And they have Ron Reagan on, and Republican idiot that was defending giving Cheney and Libby awards last night. Right before the segment ended, the Republican said to Reagan, "your father would be ashamed of you."

Are you fucking kidding me? Are the Republicans even more crazier than shit today?

Jesus...

1. It's wartime when that is convenient
And peacetime when it is convenient for making an argument.

They are spinning into oblivion.

They don't value it like we do. Self-interest is their game.

11. I thought it might be her...
...but she seemed even bitchier than usual, so I thought it might have been someone else. She was so flippantly dismissive.

I assume you saw the exchange I was talking about? Did I hear her correctly? Did she really say that George Bush presided over the longest peacetime recession recovery in our nation's history? What the hell was she talking about? Why did no one call her on it? Please just tell me I heard wrong, because I'm about going crazy myself about listening to all the bullshit from these Republicans today without anyone calling them out on it.

6. Ther're on a trajectory.
And it keeps getting further and further from reality.

And the public isn't buying it this time around, either.

9. I agree.
Finally, Republican claims have gotten to be so "far out" that the public is no longer buying it. I wondered if that would ever happen but it did.

8. The Republican Party has

completely abandoned reality. This has become obvious. Their motto should be "Say anything for the cause, no one will check if it's true."

10. You are absolutely right. There is no rational republican party any more. Gone. Done. Over.
They have come to the end of their line. It is FINISHED.

So, let us disregard their pronouncements and the ravings of madmen and proceed with business. We cannot let people with psychiatric disabilities get in the way of progress for the greater good of the American people.

The End.

13. "Peacetime" is a word used by the Republicans to except everything FDR did from consideration.
It has nothing to do with the actual concept of peacetime.

they're not for anyone but themselves, either. They WANT to outrage you, I don't let them, I don't listen very carefully to them-to believe them costs far too much.

17. They're batshit crazy
The other day, I had an outlandish conversation with a gentleman who otherwise seems quite sane. He told me that the Republicans balanced the budget in the 90s and the economy was great until Obama came on the scene to run up record deficits. When I pointed out the Bush years, he claimed they didn't count because Bush was really a liberal(!$#@???).

Oh wait, no it wasn't.

So, lying on TV is now welcomed, instead of just on occasion. Classic.
