Okay is this woman crazy, or am I missing something? Re: Net Neutrality
http://blogs.reuters.com/columns/2009/10/23/net-neutrality-leads-to-systemic-risk/

And unfortunately this is the opening article on homepage of Reuters which means it is likely to be there all weekend.

snip...The FCC nonetheless is pushing forward with seemingly little concern about the unintended consequences of intervening in a well-functioning sector vital to the American economy....snip

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't net neutrality intended to keep things the way they are now?. . . a well-functioning. IE no site by site charges or increases or blockages or any of the suggested extra payment options the ISPs were hoping for?

It seems she is ranting that things have been going just fine, so why change them, but to allow anything but net neutrality is changing them, right?

1. you're right
the debate over net neutrality has been very poorly framed by the correct (pro-net-neutrality) side. It really ought to be labeled "status quo" or "keep the internet like it is now."

2. It really bugs me when supposedly legit news orgs allow this kind of crap to stay on the front page,
as though it were news instead of editoral commentary, apparently by a moron.
