"The Deeds Campaign" a political horror story to scare each other with around Dem campfires. |
|
Learn from it my friends. He tried to pretend he wasn't really a Democrat and who wants healthcare really and who was that Obama guy anyway? Why, you'd hardly know he was a Democrat in the first place except it says that (somewhere) in his literature.
So you see, there was this big hole and Creigh Deeds fell into it. A few heard him calling faintly. The Republicans paid him no mind cause they had a guy they liked and didn't need to help Deeds out of his hole. The Dems looked at each other and said, "What was that? It almost sounded like Creigh Deeds. He used to be a Democrat. Oh well. Who gives a shit." And they shut the window and went to bed. Some say you can still hear him calling softly on the night breeze in Virginia.

1. Pretty much sums it up. |

Chickenshit campaign, predictable results. Harry Truman said it 60 years ago. "Give the voters a choice between a real Republican and a fake one, and they'll vote for the real one every time."
I keep visualizing the these idiots holding guns to their own heads, hollering "Nobody move or the Blue Dog gets it!

14. Thanks for the quote. |

I never knew Truman said that. It obviously still applies.

2. Is the the thread for DU's anti-Terry McCauliffe hysterics to state they will never post again? |

That would be pretty cool.
Who will they save us from next?

4. Your title needs editing. |

I didn't mention McAuliffe in case you didn't notice. Deeds won the slot and he has to be responsible for the horrific campaign he ran which successfully managed to alienate EVERYONE. A powerful unifier, but in a negative sense.

5. McAulliffe is a piece of shit, and he would have lost too. |
|
Fact is, there are damn few actual Democrats in Virginia, and none of them seem to want to run for the big offices so you get stuck with the likes of Kaine, Warner and other useless DLC shits. Webb is slightly better, but even he is a "recovering Republican" (literally a member of Reagan's cabinet even)

7. That's BS. The only thing Dem's can get elected are Mark Warner and Tim Kaine. |
|
I would much rather have them than McDonnell-lite Deeds.
Pull your head our of your ass. McAulliffe may well have been able to beat McDonnell due to his DLC contacts.
Thanks for throwing the party under the bus.

8. The DLC threw the party under the bus a long time ago |

And McUseless is one of the biggest failures they ever produced. I wouldn't vote for that piece of shit if he was the only name on the ballot.

us from Cuccinelli for AG not to mention whatever your state delegate race or local races might have been . I would like to call you a bunch of nasty personal names (in fact I just did, but I deleted them).

13. The moral, my little s'more smeared Dems is: |
|
It's better to go proudly go down in flames as a full fledged Democrat
than to go down in flames as a vacillating, failed, straddle the middle DINO, Blue Dog.
