Bachmann aide quits
By Andy Birkey 11/4/09 2:24 PM

An aide to Rep. Michele Bachmann quit her communications position, Politico reported on Wednesday. Michelle Marston had been responsible for helping Bachmann get a copious amount of air time on cable news shows.

“I’m just not talking about it, and frankly I don’t think there’s a story here,” Marston told Politico in an email. “Now, the thousands of people calling our office to tell us coming to Capitol Hill tomorrow – that’s a story.”

Bachmann is hosting a “House Call” and urging Tea Party activists to storm the Capitol on Thursday to oppose health care reform.

Politico spoke with an anonymous conservative Republican House member who said, “When your captain’s crazy, it’s time to find a new ship.”

2. Amazing thing is this shows a conservative house member can be witty...

3. Yes, but Politico is cited as the source
so I'm automatically skeptical. If Politico told me the sky was up, I'd have to go outside and check for myself.

8. Apparently it's the only source right now, 'though Minnesota newspapers
are printing it with Politico attribution.

13. I think she's more like Bligh than Queeg. She does not seem to have
the kind of mind that could track down a missing quart of strawberries or design a flow chart.

6. Yes, teabaggers, OPPOSE HEALTHCARE REFORM!
Please!!!

Coz 1) the vast majority of Americans WANT healthcare reform, so it's ALWAYS a good thang to show them -and the world- what a fringe minority you really are!

and 2) OPPOSE YOUR OWN BEST INTERESTS!!! Coz it's always a good thang to show the majority of Americans -and the world- what truly deeply idiotic nutjobs you really are!

Bachmann aide leaving job
By Cynthia Dizikes | Published Wed, Nov 4 2009 1:57 pm

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Politico is reporting that a top aide for Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., is leaving the congresswoman’s office.

According to Politico: “The aide who helped turn Rep. Michele Bachmann into a controversial mainstay of cable news has informed colleagues that she’s quitting - just as the firebrand Republican congresswoman prepares for her biggest media moment yet.”

The aide, Michelle Marston, declined to tell Politico why she was leaving.

11. Doing EXACTLY what Politico was set up to do
Spread rumors and set narratives that get picked up by the "mainstream" media and reported as fact and conventional "wisdom."

17. Lol, the same way they stormed NY Dist 23.
In a strange way and not, I'm sure intentionally, they are helping us. They spent all that time, energy and money in NY, more than the other two candidates, and managed to get a Dem elected where none had been elected since the Civil War.

I'm counting on them helping us get real Health Care reform. I have a vision of them grabbing their signs and suitcases and racing from place to place, led by the wacko Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin, not having a clue where they are, and ending up sending the wrong (well wrong if you're a Repub) people to Congress ~ but they never lose faith, they are not daunted by defeat, they are oblivious to it, and it's 'on to the next' and since they are the Republican's nightmare, which they created, we can just enjoy the show, and the results as we have in NY!

22. Wouldn't this be the opposite of what a communications director does?
If an aide to Bachmann says there's no story, that means there is.

19. Bachmann keeps looking more like Krazy Katherine Harris as time goes by.

Krazy Katie went through staffers like they were dirty underwear.

It must be very trying to work with someone who is so mentally unstable.
