"A house divided against itself..., is a house that cannot stand."
The Obama administration seems doomed to repeat the mistakes of the past. I'm reminded this morning of a day in early 1968 when those mistakes came home to undo another Democratic Party president:

Democrats seem never to learn.

As Don Henley would croon:

We've got the same OLD men
We've got the same OLD fears
Standing at attention
Wrapped in stars and stripes
They hear the distant drummers
And Non Existent Pipes

4. Obama claimed Lincoln's mantle.
Yeah, Mr. Obama, I don't think Lincoln was fighting and imperialists war over seas for corporations. You just lost any connection to Lincoln you might have had.

7. Maybe we should build two houses
Or three. Or 100. Pick a number, any number.

The foundation under this single house isn't very good, and we just keep boarding up the holes and painting over the worn down spots, just to keep the house standing. We're fighting a losing battle against entropy.
