The main difference between kings/dictators and elected presidents/Prime ministers, etc.,

is that the elected ones PRETEND that they're going to do the will of the people.

There are some other differences....but I think that's the main one.

1. The difference sits with the will of the people.

If they accept a king or dictator's contention of unending and absolute power.
If they allow a president or PM to continue in power after proving they don't deserve the chance.

2. They all get their armies to protect them and do their bidding. That's all that counts. nt
