Bush Officials, RNC Praise Obama's Afghan Knowledge And Surge Strategy
Edited on Tue Dec-01-09 03:22 PM by Mari333

The NEOCONS ARE ALL VERY HAPPY

AND KARL ROVE SUPPORTS IT ALL.
Dec 1 2009

Two prominent Bush administration officials are publicly praising President Obama for his decision to send additional troops to Afghanistan.

In an incredibly rare occurrence, the Republican National Committee hosted a conference call on Tuesday in which the featured speaker, Dan Senor, a former Bush spokesman in Iraq, applauded the White House and said he was "quite encouraged by the president's decision."

"It sounds to me based on what we know that it is a very good decision and I applaud him ," Senor said. "If you would haves said to me that a year into this administration that he would have doubled our troop presence in Afghanistan... Plus not reduced our troops meaningfully in Iraq. And if you had told me he would have fired General McKiernan and replaced him with General McChrystal (a surge proponent)... I would have had a hard time believing it. So I am pleasantly surprised."

7. Why not?
His political actions seem to indicate that he desperately wants approval from Republicans, even to the point of selling all of his political capital with his base.

sad...it really didn't have to be this way.

11. Seems he has a need too be loved as much as bu$h was hated. Good luck with that after
tonight and the announced escalation of Afghanistan.

Maybe the neocons will vote for his re-election.

8. Obama spends waaaaaay too much time making Republicans happy.
They will FUCK him in the end.

Wish he would look to The Left occasionally.
He could have an energized and fiercely loyal base if he wasn't so dedicated to making Republicans happy.
You would think he could throw us a crumb every now and then.

9. You're speculating on Huffpo's speculation about Neocon speculation.
And assuming the worst. Typical.

Rove is psychotic, not psychic.
